Hi,
Thanks for the fast shipping of order 24618.
Unfortunately, there is a problem with a joint (corrosion? cristallized fluid?) and there are unwanted metal remainings from drill works I think (the screw hole is sharp edged).
I wrote an e-mail and tried to start a support ticket, but got no email notification that a message from me really reached your team. So to be sure I thought I may bring this here in the europe forum.
My problem can be seen in the attached pictures. Could you send me a new mk3 base? That would be great. Where and how can I send you the defect one back?
Br and many thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom, that's just some residue from the chemical process during chrome plating. It was supposed to be cleaned up in factory, so sorry about that.

Hi,
thank you for the fast reply!
So 2 joints are affacted (see photos), may/should I disassamble it for cleaning? Or should I just take a cotton swab to clean it superficially?

No need to take them apart, just dislodge the residue with a solid object, then clean it up with a wet cloth.
