Can i use aftermarket (longer) usb c cable?

Hi everyone! I need to connect a gnx thq module to a stecs mini, but from 1,5 meter. I tried 2 aftermarket cables, but so far they don't work. Is there a problem with non-oem cables, or the connection need an additional step i'm missing? Thank you!

This requires at least 3.x specification cable - but that's not a guarantee either.
Type-C 2.0 - definitely not.
0.8m cables and hubs for extensions should be available for purchase. Ask about when and which dealers.

The hub will also allow you to connect several NXT modules.
