Hello folks! I will be receiving a VKB gladiator and omnithrottle in the morning. I am an avid Elite: Dangerous player and am excited to delve in to the software and configuration side of things to get my new sticks perfect for me. I have one thing I'd plan to try to figure but have not yet found any information on how to so clearly. So if somebody could explain it to me or link me to where it might have been discussed previously, I would greatly appreciate it!
I plan to try to set the omnithrottle so that pressing a desired button (e.g. pressing in a hat switch) to lock-in/remember the position of the Y or Z axis (I'll decide which one when I decide which I want to be my throttle) and be able to release it back to centre, maintaining the set value remembered and leave it unaffected/ignore any accidental movement I impart on it as I utilise the other available axis'. Then press a button, hopefully the same button (a toggle) to return the axis in to default/my control. (I believe, that is called trimming, no?)
Essentially, I want to create a throttle position lock/unlock button.
Is there a way to be able to do this? I hope I have explained it clearly enough.

Re: Help with axis configuration desire
That might be possible, but did you considered binding a hat switch to 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% speed controls in game? That would cover really well all your needs for maintaining speed regardless of the throttle position.
