Gladiator Nxt Evo in Windows 98se

Postby Deflektor » Sat May 11, 2024 11:55

I know that device is compatible with Windows XP, but what about Windows 98se?

I have a retro-rig and i wanted to play some old-school games like Descent, Tie Fighter. Yeah, i know you could do it all using source ports in modern Windows, but i want the real deal. I know that many joysticks like Thrustmaster 16000m are actually pnp compatible with Win98se, but what about Gladiator Nxt Evo?

The programmer said that DirectX 8 is already used there, so it should work. There is no other answer yet.

Ok, thanks. I've ordered the standard version. When i'll get my hands on it, i'll get back here with results.

All the games you listed are DOS games. So, you could run them under DOSBox and then you get the benefit of being able to map joystick buttons as keyboard buttons.

I find this very convenient for ATF.
