So, I was talking about this with my brother, and then I did some research, and I can't believe what I found, so I'm asking here to see if I missed something.
Throughout the 1980's and 1990's, there were a variety of "lite simulators" where they were more than arcade games (like Ace Combat) but not real professional simulators (because PCs were limited). The pinnacle of this was Falcon 4 and the Janes Combat Simulations series, USAF and Fighters Anthology being the final examples.
And then - nothing until DCS world came out.
Was there really a 15ish year gap where no one put out a decent modern jet combat flight simulator, or am I just missing something obvious?
