If I buy the GLADIATOR NXT EVO OMNI THROTTLE with the preinstalled Omni Throttle Adapter (OTA), can I use the stick temporary also as a "normal" stick without the Omni Throttle Adapter? Or do I have to buy the standard GLADIATOR NXT EVO plus the separate Omni Throttle Adapter to make this work?

You can. But consider left or right hand grip you have.

Isn't the twist adapter different, though?

I just got my factory Omni throttle kit last night and I had to take the grip apart and remove the stock twist adapter, which is much longer than the Omni throttle version.

If I'm right, then you'd need to get the gladiator and separate adapter so you had both adapters

Also, realistically, you're looking at loosening/removing about a dozen screws and plugging/ unplugging several wires which presumably have a finite number of times you can do this without breaking something.
