I've started a small project to convert my GNX THQ into a modern HOTAS setup. The basic design is complete and feels really nice when compared to the standard throttle controls. Everything has been designed in Fusion 360 and printed on a Bambu Lab P1P.
Next up I'm moving onto the electronics, where I'm planning to add 3 hat switches (1x 5-way, 2x 2-way), 3x push buttons and a toggle switch. There are a couple of ways of doing this, the simplest would be to create them as a separate USB game controller utilising an Arduino or similar controller. Ideally I'd like to be able to interface to the VKB joystick so it appears in the VKB device and config. Does anyone know if there is any way to interface to the VKB joystick controller?
If anyone is interested in the design, I intend to upload the STEP/STL files to Printables. Currently it's work in progress and I expect the electronics to take several months to finalise.

Re: VKB GNX THQ HOTAS Project
I've uploaded the files for a 3D Printer onto printables. Supports are recommended, but otherwise it's a pretty easy print job.
