DHL shipping experience - is this normal?

I am pretty frustrated with DHL at the moment. During checkout it was suggested to use DHL for quicker delivery.

Placed my order Jan 28. Incredibly, DHL tracking shows that shipment reached Cincinnati on Feb 2. That is pretty amazing.

Bad news is, it has been sitting in Cincinnati since that time. So 5 days it has been sitting there, and is still sitting there! There has been some terrible weather in Midwest in the USA, so some delay is understandable, but 5 days seems ridiculous. No way to know if Fedex would have done better, but hard to imagine them doing any worse.

What have your experiences been with DHL? Is this normal service?

Hope to be back here in the future with my Gladiator NXT in hand.

I know hearing this doesn't help but I have a laser on order (for a 3d printer system, alternate work head) that started in an LAX bonded storage facility (pre-customs, I presume) and went from there to Cincinnati, goal being delivery to Texas ultimately. (Yeah, I don't know what map they're using.) FedEx not DHL. Also about 2-3 days later than original shipping information indicated but currently still tracked as there.

Just weather and customs BS I gather. Nothing is "normal" these days, just gotta wait a bit longer I suppose...long haul trucking is totally borked everywhere and flight delays for this storm started in the west and southwest US before the storm moved to the midwest (I think we had our last sub-freezing temp night here last night as it warms back up).

Good luck to us both!

Well this is wild. Finally got shipping update showing it left Cincinnati at 7:28 this morning, and I had it on my porch at 11:45.

When DHL moves, they really move! After waiting 6 days in Cincinnati, it got here in a hurry once it got moving.

Most probably they signed only the arrival in the Cincinnati hub, but actually the parcel was still stuck in China by the holiday closures.
Anyway, thanks for the update and enjoy it!

Me too, and I'm an idiot, my laser WAS via DHL after all. (I've been ordering too much crap so I got my tracking emails mixed up when replying, I had the location right...FedEx doesn't apparently use Cincy...)
Went from still tracking as in Cincy to my doorstep before I got any tracking change. I'll take it. (I can't pew-pew any panels for real yet though because I want to wait on a magnet sheet for easy bed swapout before calibrating everything. [Begin sock puppet voice:] "The ....horrror!!!")
