I just installed the new Battlefield - and as soon as I enter the game, my player spins around in circles. If I unplug the joystick - all is good.
Is there anyway to see what’s causing this?

Had the same issue. It's the throttle dial on the base. Your two options are to set it to "0" which is halfway on its rotation or if you don't use it, download the vkb software and disable its axis like I did.

Is it not possible to unbind the axis in the game configuration? I've run into this with several games over the years, and unbinding the axis has always been possible.
Re: Battlefield 2042 - causes spin
I've tried that but I believe for some reason it's confusing that axis as a game pad controller joystick axis. So I think you'd have to unbind your controller settings.
I chose to unbind it in its software to deal with the issue directly and keep it from possibly happening again.

Had this problem too with my Logitech joystick...
Another question about BF2042, is it possible to use the VKB joystick for flying planned and helicopters like in BF4 ?
I'm waiting for my VKB Gladiator Evo to arrive...

The game has a poor joystick implementation and I think proper advice would be found on their discussion forums rather than here.
