Without mine in front of me I want to say the base is tapped for M4 screws. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Should be able to grab them at any hardware store. Length just needs to be long enough to go thru the plate and into the base. They can be a little long. The screws in your pic definitely look like the wrong size diameter but the length looks OK.

Take the base with you to the hardware store to be sure you get screws that fit.

You could open a ticket but that might take a while. This is something you can do in a few minutes for a few cents. Yeah you shouldn't have to do that but it'd get you up and running.

Looking closer at the pic, unless the lighting is really bad, is that thing even tapped? I'm not seeing any threads? Take another pic more from the side looking into the slot where that screw goes in. Make sure you get some light to be able to see if there's threads.

If it's not tapped that would explain why the screw looks big and won't fit!

The joystick base has no thread. Please contact the dealer. We will send you the replacement.
