Interfacing the old and the new

Postby Alokeen » Fri Jan 29, 2021 5:26

How does this work now with mixed gen controls?

I have the T-Rudder and it's box, a Gladiator K, and some time in the future one of the TECS variants.

I think I can plug the pedals into the stick and have them as an axis there... I remember trying it briefly when it all came in.
Also, as far as I know the higher tier gear plugs via the black box and the connectors there.

How will TECS fit in there?

It's not an issue to have 3 or more separate USB devices, but any optimizations are welcome :)

I'm aware of the 32 button limit, so will the TECS follow the base + grip principle of the K/NXT?

NXT and TECS are different product lines and they can't get inter-connected (at this time; maybe in the future?). Problem with inter-connecting devices is that you might exceed the games' button limitation - DCS has a limit of 128 buttons for example, but Elite: Dangerous has only 32 and SWS only 40 (?).

This is basically what prompted my question - we are some time in the future :)
