Sorry for the trouble mate, but did you ever got any replacement rusk/fastener? That thing shouldn't come loose so easily or often.

Thanks, I'll reopen comms with support and ask them for one. Are you just referring to the screw connecting the two graphite-looking pieces? I think I may still have a spare in the box.

This lil' guy. If you have a spare one it's worth trying it.

I'll try it. Here's what my existing one looks like, clearly some wear but they still only look like 1/10th of a millimeter bumps I believe.

The good news is, judging from the marks on the fasteners in your pic--you're putting it together right! Or else those marks wouldn't be there. How you're managing to get that to come loose regularly is beyond me. As to the marks on the connection pads, they'd make a mark just by twisting the shaft to where you want it--it's soft brass. But that connection doesn't need to be jammed together, the clamp is what keeps it together, theoretically. The weight of either the extension or grip on the shaft is plenty. Gravity is your friend.
Not trying to be smart but do you think maybe you're going just a little bit neanderthal with it? Picking it straight up by the grip? Just trying to figure out the problem. Seriously, I have never had mine come loose and I've taken the whole thing apart a ton of times for whatever reason from updating my MKI to a MKIII to changing cams and springs. I added the extension to mine about a year ago and have had no issues with the connectivity at either joint. I have had minor wiring issues that were easily repaired but they had nothing at all to do with that clamp coming loose.
