Hi, VKB sim,

Recently I've tried the combination use with Gladiator K base and KG12 grip.

Previously, I heard advise on this forum that there would be no problem with
the compatibility of the above combinations, but when I tried it, there was a problem in my case.

I did apply the latest firmware('_Gladiator_KG12_v2_00_7.vkb') for Gladiator K base and KG12 grip.
However, after applying the new firmware the red light on the Gladiator K base flashing continuously.
Also, I did the calibration after applying the new firmware but the buttons on the KG12 grip not working.

Which part do I have to check regarding the red light on the Gladiator K base flashing continuously?
And if you have any success with the above combinations, please comment.

Thank you in advance.

I have a gunfighter, but on that one the flashing red light usually indicates the grip isn't mounted properly or isn't making contact. Try making sure the contacts on the grip and base are clean and re-seat it. Also be sure to default the stick after applying the firmware, then calibrate.

Press the Default button under Tools tab and try again. If it still won't work check the contacts between grip and base - see if the 3 pins on the bottom of the grip are all at the same level and clean up the 3 contact pads on the base stem with a bit of alcohol.

Drano and fallout9, thank you for your comments and much appreciated.

Regarding the red light flashing, I have confirmed that is not a contact problem between grip and base.
Because when I tried 'KOSMOSIMA’ grip with Gladiator K base there was no problem and KG12 grip with
Gunfighter Mk.II base also no problem at all.

So, I have searched for similar cases in this forum and finally, I found the clue as follows.

"I had to go into the VKB device config then to the global tab were I set the external device from K12 to MCG.
Then hit the Set button under action tab at the top. This got the grip recognized. From there I am still struggling."

Based on the above, I also applied the same way to the Gladiator K base with KG12 grip.
(in my case, I set the external device from "Gladiator Stick" to "KG12 Stick")
The KG12 grip recognized. (see below)

KG12 grip recognization was solved but the below issues still remained.

- The one button on the KG12 grip not working.

KG12 Grip - button not working

- I expected the button number start from 'Strick' but in this case start from base.
#14 for Metal trigger, #18 for the button on top of the stick.
→ Is there any way to change the buttons on the KG12 grip to #1, #2?

With regard to the issue above, please give your idea.

Thank you.

That button is programmed as a subShift (modifier) and affects the buttons on the grip.

Thank you fallout9.

Based on your comments that you've posted before, I changed the button functionality from subShift to a regular one.
(viewtopic.php?f=25&t=4447&p=41157&hilit=subShift#p41157)

The button programmed as a subShift is working properly as a normal button.
