A Quick Gladiator-FS 2020 Question

Hi, as you are probably aware, Microsoft has released Flight Simulator 2020. I was wondering, since the Sim has issues with some control devices inputs being somewhat "jerky", would you recommend we use the in-Sim calibration features to calibrate our Gladiator FCS? I know that it is not a good idea to use the control stick calibration feature in P3D v4.5. I used the zBootloader app I believe, and the stick works wonderfully in P3D. So, I was wondering if it would "hurt" or "mess up" the stick if I were to use in in-Sim calibration features that is in Flight Simulator 2020 to get the control surfaces of the airplanes to move more.. smoothly rather than abruptly ?

Native software calibration and in game calibration are totally different things. You could calibrate the joystick in game with no issues BUT the joystick HAS TO BE calibrated through native software BEFORE that.
Haven't tried P3D, but I can guarantee that all the axes will act beautiful in MSFS2020 if they're properly calibrated with the native software (VKBDevCfg) - I've tried absolutely every bindable axis in game and haven't got any issues. The only problem might show up in MSFS is when you'd try to bind an axis to a digital control (like binding an axis to Rudder Left or Rudder Right instead of binding it to Rudder, which requires an analog input).

Hi, then I am not sure,... but that may be the problem. I bound the stick as follows:
Aileron left (roll left) to Joystick L-Axis X-
Aileron right (roll right) to Joystick L-Axis X+
Elevator down (pitch down) to Joystick L-Axis Y-
Elevator up (pitch up) to Joystick L-Axis Y+
Rudder left (yaw left) to Joystick R-Axis Z-
Rudder right (yaw right) to Joystick R-Axis Z+
If it is a case where I bound the stick (a Gladiator MK II) to digital bindings then....how, may I ask, do I bind it to analog bindings? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You're trying to bind analog to digital and won't work. Please check
this video for the correct way to bind in MSFS2020.

Hi, success!!! I re-bounded the stick following the instructions in the video and the stick works like a dream. I also bound the throttle in the same way, and had the same issues that the fellow with the throttle issue in the post next to mine had. My throttle behaved in the same manner as his did while in the settings menu of the Sim. Weird thing is, once in Sim, and reading what the other fellow did to over come the problem...when I moved the sticks throttle lever up and down its travel a few times (like he did)...it seemed to correct itself!! (although you have to check the "invert the axis" check box under throttle in the Sims settings screen for it to be "proper"). So, I just want to thank you for all of your help and support that you provided and to the fellow with the throttle issue for "discovering" a solution for a throttle fix. My many thanks to you all.

How do you activate the throttle? I'm flying the 172, and can't get the throttle to work right. Is there a general throttle axis? I want to bind them all to the throttle slider.

Go to Options -> Controls, set the Filter to ALL -> Power Management -> Throttle -> bind the throttle slider to: Throttle 1 Axis, Throttle 2 Axis, Throttle 3 Axis, Throttle 4 Axis. Click on Apply &Save, then Go Back and fly away
