Greetings pilots!

I am a very active Star Citizen combat pilot going by the handle of Ez1. After using a T16000m and then a Gladiator Mk.2, I've very recently purchased my 3rd right-hand joystick, a Gunfighter Mk.3 with a Kosmosima grip. While the base and the grip are amazing and I love almost everything about them, I understand that the closest I can get to a center-less cam profile are the soft-center space cams with light springs (currently installed). Target tracking in space sims where pitch and yaw speeds are identical can benefit a lot from center-less cams. I believe this heavily contributes to the popularity of the T16000m within the space sim community as it uses a ball joint with a single spring, a crude yet effective center-less mechanism.

I've spoken with a a very helpful VKB representative on the HOTAS discord who goes by the name of Papastratos. I asked about no-center cams and he informed me that they are currently under development! Several other people in the VKB channel immediately expressed interest in the purchase of a set of these cams.

We would appreciate if development for no-center cams was prioritized. Thank you!

No center is a great option. Other applications would be helicopters.

I have legacy cams and after trying out the s space one I want back to them because they have no feeling of detents in the middle. Which I prefer.

Bumping this thread for interest. You guys have developed and released an entire new grip since this post was first created but there's still no news on the centerless cams. At this point I am heavily considering moving to Virpil because this is a product they already offer.

I would also like to express my interest in no-center linear style cams. I am a heli pilot in DCS and also enjoy space sims.
I was under the impression that the soft-center space cams would fit my needs but alas they have not. Useful for throttle/engines, not for aim.

I'm also still looking forward to these for my space sim usage. The grips/bases are great, but these centerless cams are still sorely missed.

Adding my voice here, I am also eager to get no-center cams seeing as the Space-S is still a bit clunky for pitch/yaw space games.

By legacy cams, do you mean the old "10" cams? No center but progressive ("avia") resistance towards the end of an axis?

Sorry man, both Gladiator MKII and NXT use a different system than the GunFighter bases, a system based on pinchers and not cams; this system is not adjustable more than spring level, so no cams could ever come for the Gladiators

Oh i see the real difference now between these models... Is there a way to get no-centre feeling with pinchers?
