The "radioactive" arc contact surfaces are in my Gunfighter mkIII base. Mine are big, with only a very small area of plastic between them. Perhaps the more even "radioactive" look is the mkII?
My Kosmia grip and my *newly arrived just today* (cue disco ball and excited "great balls of fire" piano solo) F-14 grip both have pins in the equilateral triangle configuration.
Again, as far as I can tell the grip rotation function does not rotate the pins on the contact surfaces in the base. For both grips, when I rotate the grip (before applying the set screw because of course proper sim-pitters have pedals and who wants a squirrely yawing grip?), the triple pins stay fixed and the grip rotates around/above them.
I am fairly confident you have the full range of what ever contact pads you have (big radioactive or small radioactive) to accommodate any grip angle ergonomic rotation independent of any z-twist if you want to preserve that function.
Happy to post more pics tomorrow after I drill my F14 grip...
Now if only hot swapping was easier!

Sure as....
Oh yes, please post pics and share your experience!
And thanks for the info that the grip contains pins that mate to the "radioctive" arcs - I got that wrong from the pics posted previously.
Your fix may work well for me, too (well, as soon as I can order the Gunfighter-F-14 combo). And same here: no need for a twisting grip - have rudders.

Re: F14 grip center stick offset angle?
The pins and pads changed from Gunfighter MKI to MKII. The MKI originally had the pins sticking up from the base and was known as Rev.A. Mine is a Rev. A. Subsequent models had the pads on the base and pins in the grip known as Rev. B. This has become the standard connection.

Re: F14 grip center stick offset angle?
No prob. To further clarify this connection change is the only difference between the two. They're otherwise identical in every other way. I believe the idea was to provide better protection for the pins being inside the grip handle rather than being exposed on top of the base. Makes sense but just be aware which Rev you have when ordering extensions or grips. Pins to pins or pads to pads are a no go!

Re: F14 grip center stick offset angle?
I really wish it had angle adjustability like the MCG or the vintage stick even. It seems like such an simple thing not to have in a stick designed for aviation. For the space sim grip I understand, but for the F-14 grip? Seems like a massive oversight to me.

Fully agree!
But it looks like drilling a hole might be a viable solution, at least.......
