GFIII some question

Hello,

Just received my new GF3 + MGC PRO. Documentation is scarse ( :( ).
I suppose that what applies to GF MKII applies to GF MKII ?

Some question :
- how do you remove dust cover ? I suppose I just have to unscrew the screws under the dust cover (I have to raise the cover ?).
-what is the use of the switch on the black box ?
- if there are some, are there some special settings for GFIII ?
- what is the use of the small platic bar with the two holes for the two black small screws ?

Thanks for your help.
Waiting for a correct documentation :D
Regards

Mostly yes

- how do you remove dust cover ? I suppose I just have to unscrew the screws under the dust cover (I have to raise the cover ?).

There are 4 screws, 2 exposed at the back and 2 under the boot at the front. Don't forget to disconnect the cable.

-what is the use of the switch on the black box ?

Putting the Black Box in bootloader mode.

- if there are some, are there some special settings for GFIII ?

Similar to GFII.

- what is the use of the small platic bar with the two holes for the two black small screws ?

That gets screwed in the back of the Black Box and acts as a cable guide if needed.

Hi,

Thank you very much for these detailed answers.

'''Putting the Black Box in bootloader mode.''' What is this ? When and how do you use it ?

Best regards.

The answer is here.
The principle of firmware is described in the manual.

Thanks again.

So I have to use this button only if I have a problem with Jostick recognition ?
As described in "2.2.2. Hardware activation" chapter of NJoy32 ?

Best regards

It would be a very rare and unfortunate case when you'll get to the point of needing to activate that button. Just be careful to flash the right firmware and load the correct profile and you won't ever need to get there.
