Black Box Questions

I just got my new Gunfighter stick, and I had a few questions about the Black Box.
What does the Sys button do? I've searched the forums here, and on the web, and I can't find a single mention of it anywhere. And what's with the little plastic... thing, that attaches to the bottom of the Black Box? It looks like a mount maybe, but once it's attached to the base of the Black Box I can't see how you'd actually to mount anything.

I asked rrhode about that mount when I got my new MK III , believe he stated it was for clipping the cable on to route it backwards if necessary.

This button is similar to 2 pin Boot. Now you do not need to open the BB to close them and put the controller in a state of readiness for firmware.

I just got my new Gunfighter III and rudder pedals, and I have a couple questions myself.
First, is there any difference in fuctionality between the new black plastic Black Box and the old metal orange one?
If not, does anyone have an orange one they'd like to trade? Both my GFIII and pedals came with the new black ones, but I like the old style better.
Next, what is the 6-pin connector for? Neither the GFIII nor the pedals use it. Is it for the in-development TECS throttle? When the throttle comes out, will I be able to hook up all three controls (stick, pedals and throttle) through one Black Box?
Thanks!
ETA: as I continued to search the forums, I found part of the answer to the second question. In the TECS throttle announcement thread it says all three controls can be connected through one Black Box. So yay for that!

The new black Black Boxes are an improved version of the original orange ones. They come with 7 pins connectors, instead of 6; extra pin is for grounding. Also, there are no wires inside the new Black Boxes.

And what, if i get the Electronics Upgrade Kit for my GFII? Do I need the new "Black" Box? Or if i "want" it? Is there any chance???

Both original (orange) and updated (black) Black Boxes work on all the bases, from Gunfighter MKI through Gunfighter MKIII. If you want a new Black Box as a separate device and not part of a system just speak with your local dealer to see if they have it on stock.
