GF Mk. III Compatibility

I've got a few questions about the GF Mk. III, specifically the new dust cover...
1. Are there any changes to the Mk. III other than the dust cover?
2. Is the new dust cover going to be compatible with older revisions?
3. If the answer to #2 is yes, will VKB be releasing a standalone upgrade kit for people with older gunfighters who want the new dust cover?
I'm sure many of you know that the original dust cover adds resistance, and actually limits movement near the corners. There is no way I would be spending a few hundred dollars just for a better dust cover, but I sure would spend a few dozen.
