Thought about producing a yoke for non-combat sims?

I love my Gladiator MkII and T-Rudderes for combat sims. Thought about making a yoke for regular sims (x-Plane, P3D)? There is a big hole in the market for mid-grade yokes. It goes from crap like Logitech to high end like Yoko and similar. Missing quality products in the $250-500 USD range. Honeycomb looks promising but don't want the panel attached.

I agree. The mass consumer yokes are awful. I keep looking at Yoko, but £1000 is just too much.

I don't want to promote another company on this forum, but seeing as VKB don't do yoke, I hope they won't mind.

HoneyComb are coming out with a Quad and Yoke at reasonable prices - not like Yoko, but with the internals similar to them.

$250 per device.

Looks good but I don't want the switch panel. I like to tinker and make my own.

Or could it be available as two separate items? Then you can do your own switch panel.
Speaking of that, I understand that Yoko controllers are awesome, but come on, £1000.. That's a month's wage in many developed countries.
If I had that kind of money for a controller, I'd get the Kosmosima and a couple indicators from a real plane and build a cockpit replica
