VKB Warthog Adapter and TM Hornet Grip
Anyone know if the Warthog adapter is compatible with the new Hornet grip?

Re: VKB Warthog Adapter and TM Hornet Grip
I've opened one up and the tailpiece is identical to the Warthog stick so it should be fine
It's also very easy to open as it's only 3 cap screws and all the top section with the buttons and board aren't touched. If anything it should be easier to install the Hornet than the Hog

Re: VKB Warthog Adapter and TM Hornet Grip
Might be, but unlikely as the Warthog base is expecting the three chained shift registers, and there is no function on the F18 grip that wouldn't work on that setup. Worst case there isnt room for the PCB, or they changed the connector on their PCB.

I haven't tried it but it does work identically in TARGET GUI
In fact in my version of TARGET, it's got a display showing the F-18 as if when you plug it in it would be recognized as a different grip.
However when I connected the F-18 grip to TARGET, TARGET still showed the grip that was plugged in as an F-16 (i.e. the Hog grip).
The only thing that changes is hat 3 (the one below the trim Coolie hat on the Hog grip). That is reassigned and the Up Down on the hat are assigned to the wheel, the left and right to the small button next to the wheel and the pushbutton on the second hat.
Of course I can't say for certain but it looks pretty good so far

Have you acquired a sample of the Hornet grip yet, or otherwise know if the Warthog adapter will work?

Re: VKB Warthog Adapter and TM Hornet Grip
Thanks.
Verdict is that it does not fit out of the box due to the TM F/A-18 grip having a protrusion on its underside, reinforcing the paddle actuation point.
However, if you file the TM grip down a bit in this position it will fit. It is however, like the Warthog grip, too heavy to work well with the Gunfighter on an extension.
Perhaps VKB will make their own F18/F15/AV-8 and/or F16/A-10C grip at some point, in plastic or aluminium?
