POV Hat

I was under the impression before I purchased the Gladiator MKII that there were 2 logical POV Hats. One for each mode. I'm talking about with the shift button [i[not[/i] being pressed. But when I go to assign buttons in the game, I assign bindings to the hat and then go to mode 2. When I try to assign bindings in mode 2, the game reports a conflict. So is this normal behavior? Is there only 1 logical hat? This isn't a deal breaker. Kind of disappointing, but I can work around it. And it's still a great stick.

Everything is in our (your) hands. We make from 1 HAT in two modes 2 HAT.
1.declare 2 POV
2. we determine on which lines the HAT is located (using the Poll daw)
3. assign the second mode 2 HAT.
Watch this
video.It's simple.

That was rather simple once I got around the fact that your version of VKBDevCfg isn't the latest. Functionality is the same, but the Global, Profile, Test and info tabs have been moved to the bottom. Once I found everything, it was super easy to set a 2nd logical hat. Thanks. That was very helpful and informative.

If you wish, you can move the tabs to the top again.
Add or edit PageControlTop=1 in the [Common] section of your zconfig.ini.

I have tried this to get two hats configured with the mode button and it seems to configure ok confirmed by the test page. However in one position the red led flashes continuosly and in the other position the red and green flash alternatly in a constant fashion. Is there a way to cure this as it is very distracting. I have had to return to the default settings until I can cure these LED's.

Without screenshots of your settings from the configurator, nothing will happen. Therefore, configure as you want and show these screenshots - it is so much easier to understand where the error crept in.
Need tabs Global, External-External Device, Leds, Profile-Axes, Buttons, Povs.

In order for additional tabs to appear, in the zconfig.ini file (it appears in the configurator's folder after the first launch), add lines like in the picture. And it is better to upload screenshots right here without using third-party sites.

Your both VKBdevCfg and firmware look outdated. You could get the new versions here:

I thought it might have been preffered to use a 3rd party site going by the other post in this thread. I am learning ..slowly

Hope this helps.

If you put External in the Events column in line 6 and 7, everything will be restored. Error in line 6 - selected Shift0 = work without Shift, mode - UltraFast, ColorMode = 1/2 (alternately). So they blink according to the setting.
hint - when you insert a skin in Paint, then you need to move the box in the lower right corner until the image of our image. Then the picture will be without a white unoccupied area on the rig.

Finally got it working as it should be. Thank's to the help here and on the HOTAS/HOSAS/SIMPIT Discord vkb channel. It seems it needed a firmware update. I thought I had the latest, but there was a more up to date one on another site. It may have been that I was using an older firmware with newer config program. I have already learnt a lot from your suggestions Ron. Much appreciated.
I have also ordered a Gunfighter II today along with the SCB Premium Grip. So impressed with the hardware.
