I ordered the grip yesterday from Aliexpress, althought I would have rather have ordered from Ed.

I cancelled the order with Aliexpress - I hope that goes through well.

I would have talked to Ed first to make sure he reserves one for you.
Otherwise you may find out Ed has already pre-sold all grips, and there is nothing for you - and you cancelled your Aliexpress order, too.
If you need it urgently - go Ali. If you can wait a few weeks - go Ed. But do call him first.
