May be encoder? Similar to mouse scroll. Slider = linear potentiometer ->friction-> wear.

I don't know if it's practically possible but there are contactless systems for sliders, either magnetic or optical. You could basically take a mouse sensor and just have a flat surface on the underside of the slider. Perhaps some endpoint contacts for calibration.

I can't believe they haven't shown us a twist adapter yet by this point.
This is just unbelievable. This stuff doesn't take 3-4 years to patent.
Even if it did, just move past it because in 3 years your company can go out of business, and then what do you have to show ?

But if there's, I would experiment with either a small trackpoint like we see on Lenovo keyboard or a small Track Ball.

I would rather have a slider for non-precision throttle control.

Agreed. Or a mini-wheel, a duplicate of the Gladiator base throttle wheel, only smaller.

Gladiator Pro MK1 users are left behind as there is no way we can mount Kosmosima on our base. Im thinking why is that?

Unfortunately we bought at just the wrong time. Soon after the Gladiator Pro shipped, they switched to a different wiring layout and connector (5 wire to 3 wire). The new grips (MCG & Kosmosima) aren’t compatible.

There was talk about an adaptor, but I think priorities have changed since then with work on the TECS throttle taking priority. I’m going to have to take this one on the chin, buy a new base + Kosmosima grip, and maybe try and resell the Gladiator Pro with KG12. I could definitely understand why this would not be palatable to others though.

Ahh, I wont sell my great stick. But my opinion is that those first purchases funded them to make new products later on.

There is one thing that has been missing from almost every single controller except one.
In the front of the controller there should be a control where the Gunfighter (?) had a brake switch. But instead of a button it needs to be an analog control.
That way, in space sims, the left one can be depressed for up thrusters and the right one pressed for down thrusters.
