I just popped back to the forum today and found my account had disappeared, along with all my prior posts ... and as far as I can tell the whole last month or so of the entire forum.

There appears to be nothing dated from mid July onward, which was roughly when I joined and I registered again with the same details without any error message. Was the forum restored from a backup?

There was a database screwup.
Admins are working on it, but chances are everything posted within the last month (not only posts but also PMs) are gone for good.
Sad but that's life. Let's hope they manage to restore the database, if not - well, we're still alive, and this is the only thing that really matters

You could look with Baur if "mechanics" (gimbal) and electronics upgrade for Cobra M-5 still available:

Alternatively could 3D print this CAM gimbal - designed for/tested in M-5 base (with Cyborg grip, user preference) - see images for the result:

For electronics upgrade could use cheap Arduino PRO micro + MMjoy2 firmware and TLE5010 magnetic sensor.
