Modding kg12 grip for the left hand!

While waiting my gunfighter to arrive i did some research of pics and vids about kg12 grip (plastic one) with a goal of finding out how difficult it will be to convert it for left hand usage.
There is a vid some guy disassmbling it and i managed to take screenshot of a kg12 blueprint from official vkb youtube channel.
So far it seems modding friendly with 2 obstacles to modd while grip is generally simetrical except top button leaning little to the left but it is not problem and i find it not worth modding since it will be possible to use it easily with left hand/thumb.
1.actually it doesn't need modding, hand holder on the bottom of the grip i suppose can be swapped to the left side by unscrewing bolts and turning it to the left side.
2.hat from the left side switching to the right side which will require longer screws and drilling holes on the right side of the stick and making improvised plastic cover for the hole on the left side.
These are my observations from pictures so far but once i get my hands on it i'll update this thread.
If someone knows or tried to disassembly grip i would like to know does that hand holder on the bottom of the handle can turn to the other side and will it fit.
Thanks!

Quality is awesome, btw i give up from modding kg12 grip since it's beautiful trigger has ergonomic design for right hand, at least while it's new i won't mod it....
Converting for left hand is possible, two things to do;
1. Handrest holder needs modification (more than i expected) and it needs to be careful since it will need to carry heavy load (hand weight)
2. Hat relocation to the right side (also needed more attention) so it can be tighten well, it is not just screws it needs some kind of plug to give resistance and strenght on both axis.
When i get second grip i will give it a try, for now no way!

For me the grip was not tall enough for lefthand use because of the coolie hat.
Its easy to modify the hand rest by shortening the around 1.5cm long plastic bolts to 2mm or so and drill two 2mm deep holes on the left side.
But then you would have to switch the coolie hat to the right side too.
So i decided just to use the grip without the hand rest for now since i will change the grip once the lefthand grip is available..

I'll go with right hand for now, i don't have problem with precision using right hand since i use it on my job equaly as left hand (aircraft maintenance), it just don't feel natural, maybe i'll get used to it after a while.
If i don't, after i get second grip i'll mod this one!

Couldn't hold my horses!
I used some aircraft parts to mod it (immersion) and PRC (rubber sealant) we use on our amphibious planes to cover hole on the left side and to hide bolts and nuts on right side.

Note to others trying the same;
Use some some kind of tape to close holes to prevent sealant to came in touch with electrical components and to stay in desired area and shape.

Nice mods for the lefties @redribbbon, was thinking of dual sticks so fancied a nice pair of VKB's, others suggested I take a peek at some mods until the official stuff is released as some official left hand grips are in development. If you wanted to add a hand rest you could try Epoxy Putty, Milliput brand name stuffs for modelling as it sets rock hard and can be drilled tapped and filed too though I would key any surfaces with sand paper first for extra adhesion. I had some good uses for it modding graphics cards coolers years ago and I still use the odd bit for DIY projects now and again.

Yeah, that short handrest side can be prolonged or even new handrest piece made out of it.
Thank you for great suggestion @LordDumfunkum, carving should be fun, at least for me ;)
