It's looking great! Thanks for the update, Jason.
It should do a great job as a dedicated flightstick for the WWII legendary aircraft (like the Bf109 both available in IL2 and DCS iirc - and probably War Thunder).
That KG-12 grip should even be a perfect match with the recently released MiG-15bis (DCS).

Is there an idea about the price range for the basic version?

Out of curiosity, what is the status on the Gladitor Plus with the built-in split-throttle? That might be another big winner for VKB.
