I highly doubt they will accept. I sent in a much simpler drawing and was told it most likely was too intricate for the machine but they'll see.

That would be very tricky, it is very hard to define what is intricate and what is not without a base line, from my limited experience with lasers engraving, most of the time large patch of curves and lines would work fine but tiny pixel image will look very bad. But - a huge BUT, it all depends on the machine.

That said I will probably remove some of the parts, but time might not be my side as my dead line is 10th dec.

BTW does anyone know what DPI they are using? my current is 300, I would assume the machine uses much lower?

And, please, keep in mind your logo has to be in a vector format (.cdr or .ai) and not a pixel/raster format (jpeg, tiff, png, etc.). Vector graphics have no dpi value.

It is already a vectored graphics with all parts in curves under Coreldraw v14 format, clearly I cannot directly post a .cdr or .ai on the interweb right?

DPI is important to preview your handy work before sending out for print, most professional printing will provide their needed DPI which their machine is capable of for graphics designers to prview their art, I know that for a fact working in an one hour photo for 5 yr before becoming a mechanic, people mess up all the time for the wrong DPI or the wrong dimension for the correct DPI.

I think that VKB should provide feedback whether our submitted artwork is acceptable for engraving, or not. This feedback should be given to us in a timely manner, so that we can adjust our logos accordingly and send them in again, That way we can make sure to get them put onto our Mambas.

I would say they only needed to gave us the DPI their machine is capable of for self checking preview, differents between a 150 dpi machine and a 300 one is like night and day when working with small graph.

This was what I orignally submitted, but was told to make it simpler, as the rings would likely not look good, and the fills probably wouldn't work out. Just finished making some changes and resubmitted the image below.

Btw, do you want the logo text? The full Aegis Dynamics, or just the Aegis logo only?
