I had a few different thoughts as to how to respond to this.
Firstly, thank you for your statement of reason and rationality, including the implied and accepted statement of "if you use this on a GNX you will void your warranty". I am duly notified.
Now, you don't know me, so let's start there. Here is my resume:
https://www.mattcaron.net/resume/. What's not on there are my extracurricular activities - I modify firearms and load custom ammunition for them. I modify cars for power and handling as well. One evening, whilst engaged in some spirited driving in an attempt to scare my wife, I broke the clutch, I managed to get the car into second and drove home like that. The next day I had a new clutch shipped to me, dropped the trans, changed it, and put in a short shift kit while I was at it. When social media decided to annoy me, I left it all and set up a private Matrix server for the few people I actually care to talk to - complete with private encrypted video chat. I do my own home maintenance - electrical wiring, carpentry, plumbing, and the like, and brew my own beer (because most American beer is overly-hopped). I also like instant gratification, which is why I've always liked computers. I'm a grumpy old Unix hacker (Solaris, then Linux), complete with beard, who generally plays with microcontrollers these days (check the Github linked off the resume if you want to see what I'm up to). I have 3 3D printers - 2 filament and 1 resin; all heavily modified.
Now, given all that, do you
really think that either by skills or temperament I'm going to be able leave well enough alone, or be patient? Besides, what's the worst that can happen - I break the GNX base and have to buy a GF base?

However, as I mentioned elsewhere, I have a GF + SCG-R (from wife) and a GNX + SCG-L (from mom) which will be waiting for me under the Christmas tree. If the GNX omnithrottle is out by Christmas, then I'll put in an order for it (and probably some other accessories like a small GF baseplate and such), mainly because your boxed solution will be better than my homebrewed one (no dispute there). If not.. well, time to warm up the printer and the soldering iron....
Now, after
all that text wall, if the adapter won't be out by Christmas, and you wanted to ask the engineers specifically what the connectors they use on that cable are, and then pass that information along to me, so that I might void my warranty, I would be ever so grateful.
