I recently preordered the mamba which looks like a great stick. I was reading about the upcoming gunfighter and it stated that it will be the initial stick in an up and coming modular hotas setup, I was wondering if the mamba mk.III will have the same compatibility for this hotas setup as the gunfighter. Is that what the bus port beside the usb is for?
Also in previous posts you mentioned that the gunfighter would replace the mamba and has better internals. Would that statement hold true for a mamba mk.III, or is the gimbal the main difference that you were referring to?

Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
That's good info, Jason.
The question for is still along these lines - will there ever be another Russian-style grip that looks somewhat to that of an Su-27, specifically for DCS World? I am asking because I would love to get a Gunfighter for future-proofing my VKB purchases, but at the same time, I love the Russian-style grip. The Mamba has the Russian-style grip, but the Gunfighter is the basis for the future product line.
Could you shed some light on what "modern style" grip VKB is working on for the Gunfighter series?
Thanks.

Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
I am really interested in pre-ordering right now, but I am not sure about the shipping.
I am living in Hong Kong, There used to be a dealer on china shopping web Taobao that have Mk2 to sale(they also have Mk-III T-rudder in stock!), but they when out of stock and I don't think the dealer accept pre-order of MKIII
There is a shady dealer account which accept pre-order, but it is, well, "shady", and therefore I can't trust it right now.(We have to be very careful when shopping on Taobao)
So the logical choose would is to go to VKB FSC Europe, but I am totally not sure if they will ship to Hong Kong, even then, the shipping will be horribly expensive(thank EU for not VAT oversea shipment though, I get a lots of watercooling parts from EU country)

For Mamba' s owners (MkI and MkII) we have prepared an upgrade kit.
would this upgrade also be available for king cobras?

will that be an option when the new gimbal is released?
I quite like the current gimbal in my king cobra, but never say never... that new gimbal does look nice
Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
Does the Warthog Grip on the mamba base have all buttons usable? anyone who has tried it have any opinions on the warthog grip vrs the stock mamba grip?

Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
All the buttons on the Warthog handle works. You need to make a simple software setup.
The stock Mamba handle is quite good! It's a lot lighter and made from plastic. I like the warthog handle better.

Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
I pre-ordered the MkIII Fat Mamba yesterday! Really looking forward to it, and some upgrades (extension, different grips, etc) down the line.
Now, where's that VKB throttle to match?

Congratz!
And same for that VKB throttle! I’d like to put my X55 throttle to rest (I'm afraid VKB has irreversibly raised my standards)
I couldn't resist and I also pre-ordered the MkIII gimbal upgrade. The two cams sets and the progressive resistance got me convinced.
With a spare (MkII) gimbal set aside, I'm ready for an insane amount of flight hours.

Re: Black Mamba MkIII!
The stick movement should progressively feel more resistant while reaching the maximum amplitude (due to the cams gimbal design). Max pitch and roll should require more force compared to the force required near the center position.
It's probably a tiny difference but hopefully enough to provide an interesting mechanical feedback.
