Universal Software to set up HOTAS for gaming

Hi Guys,

I have the VKB Gladiator NXT. I'm loving the controller.

I paired it with a Saitek X52 Pro Throttle for a HOTAS set-up. Some games recognize both controllers with no problem. Others, not so much.
Is there a program that will allow me to customize the controls so that games can use both controllers? For example, replace keyboard keys with joystick and throttle buttons, and have the game detect the axes?

I'm trying to get Strike Suit Director's Cut to work with no success. Other games, like the Ace Combat series, also give me problems.

Joystick Gremlin pretty much will do it all but it's not idiot proof. It's not difficult to use but you do have to read the documentation.
