Gladiator NXT and X-Wing Special Edition (Steam Edition)

I have been less than satisfied with STAR WARS SQUADRONS and I am dusting off the old game X-WING Special Edition that I acquired via Steam. Sadly, my old Thrustmaster Top Gun and Attack Throttle (which I could attach via an adapter) no longer function...they would have been perfect controllers (I used them in the 90s). So I am trying to get the game to run with my Gladiator NXT and a Thrustmaster TCWS.

Initial problem is that if I use the Gladiator alone, the keybindings are rather odd. I try to assign them but the game does not seem to let me. If I plug in the TCWS, the game ignores the Gladiator and uses the mini-joystick on the throttle for roll and pitch.

I've tried to find Youtube videos on assigning keys in X-Wing...no joy. I wonder if anyone here has tried that. If so, please leave a reply.

They work fine.. You just have to set them up as your primary controllers.. I have same setup being the GNXT-K my offhand stick, main stick is GFm3-MCG
