There are 5 LEDs on the base. 5 because 2 Warning LEDs are single one, #4. eng is #4 colour2, Oil is #4 colour1.
You can use LEDs to indicate states of the joystick controls. By default LED#0 lights constantly blue (colour #2) if no event occurs. When you begin to calibrate axes, this LED will blink ultra fast with red (colour #1). See this settings on Global - External - LEDs tab of configuration utility. If VIS position of a slider is set as Shift, every button may have additional function - as using Shift button of your keyboard. You can set, for example, colour #2 of LED #4 (Eng warning) to indicate if Shift 1 button is pressed (two shift modes are available, Shift 1 and Shift 2). Use colour #1 of LED #4 (oil warning) to indicate Shift 2 (BVR position).
Elev trim encoder can be configured as virtual axis, for example #4.
Then you can combine Y axis, pitch control, with this virtual axis.
Now you can trim your plane even the real one had not this control (Cheat detected!!!

))) Using push button of the encoder you can reset
trimmer. This is a great feature of virtual axis, based on encoders. They are not linked with physical position of the control.
To indicate that trimming is applied, use another LED (or one of already used, with different colour or blinking type). I use LED #3 (above plane picture). If Axis #4 rotated from neutral position and so it trims pitch axis, this LED will blink.
Triggers have line numbers 25 and 26. When you push them (weapon 1 or 2 fires), LEDs # 1 and 2 will blink ultrafast.
