I use the brake lever on my Ultimate grip as a modifier but I find holding the lever and pressing other buttons quite difficult. Is it possible to swap out the spring roller in the lever with one that has less tension? I haven't taken the grip apart myself to look as I don't want to do that unless I'm sure doing this mod is possible. If it is, what kind of spring do I need?

It is not adjustable, sorry.

I found a video of someone dissembling an Ultimate grip and so I was able to see what it looks like inside.

Couldn't I swap out this spring with a weaker one?

You can, but after that, possible questions like: "why doesn't the axis return to its initial position?" will remain unanswered.
