Create two virtual axes with gradual increase/decrease using buttons

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to create two virtual axes on my VKB Gladiator nxt evo (Axis ID 9 and 10) to control left and right wheel brakes.

Here’s the behavior I want for each axis:

- When I press a button (e.g. Button 49 for Axis 9, Button 50 for Axis 10), the corresponding axis should gradually increase (e.g. up to 255).
- When I release the button, the axis should gradually decrease back to 0.
- Ideally, the increase rate is slightly slower than the decrease, to simulate the feel of a brake pedal that returns on its own.

I’m using VKB Device Config with Njoy32 firmware v2.19, and I’d like to know how to configure this behavior step-by-step.

You can do that via axis trimmers (you can trim either actual axes, or completely virtual axes). VKB has tutorials on this topic:
