STEM module on GNX MFH

Postby D5turbi » Tue Jun 11, 2024 9:52

Hi,
I ordered the STECS Standard and the GNX MFH to vertically place the STECS STEM module.
Was it necessary to additionally order a connecting cable to connect the module to the STECS?
This was not indicated on the videos or on this page https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/s ... on-module/

Thanks

So you want to have the STEM in vertical position? If that's the case you'll need a USB C to USB C cable (can't find it on the EU page, but you can ask the vendor to get one for you). Also, if you remove the STEM from the STECS you'll end up with an empty portion of the base plate. You can get the Mini base plate (https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/stecs-mini/), but that's not so much desktop friendly (it's lighter and doesn't have rubber feet). Also, you'll need the back plate for the STEM in order to attach it to the MFH (https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/s ... ack-cover/).
But I think the best for you would be the Max version (https://flightsimcontrols.com/product/s ... ystem-max/); it's a bit more expensive than the Standard, but if you ad the cable and extra base plate you'll get pretty much in the same spot, but with an extra module (the ATEM).

Okay I didn't think it was going to miss the back plate and other drawbacks.
As the package is in the shipping phase, it is too late to change my mind.
So I will end up with useless GNX MFH support.
Damage... :(

You can return the MFH or both the MFH and the STECS and get the other model if you think it'd fit you better. But it'd be appreciated if you won't open the boxes before shipping back.

Thanks you fallout9.
I will receive the package tomorrow and see how to proceed with the return of the GNX MFH.
(Box will not be opened)
