I have a left handed NXT (original) and I use the twist axis to zoom in dcs, its set as a relative axis.

Is it possible to set a button to make that axis to jump at a desired point? So for example I press a button and "Z axis" goes to 80%.

You have 2 options: either keep relative axis and use the Rel Axes function by setting 2 buttons (or a single button with TempoB option), one to Reset and the other to Set Value or make the axis absolute (could work with relative too, I forgot) and assign a button to FA3 and setting the FA3 value in Profile/Physical Axes to whatever values you want.

I'm trying the second method, but currently it does nothing for me. Can you tell me what am I doing wrong?

Just tried, it works on relative axis too. Just update to the latest firmware and software, maybe there's something wrong with that particular firmware version.

Okay, thank you, Im almost there. After updating, it works as intended (I guess), but It jumps back when I release the button. If I tick the "alternate action" box, it stays there, but stays there until I press it again. I can learn to live with that, but is there a way to make it jump to the desired postion but move if I move the axis itself (the twist in this case)?

For now, from all I know it's all you could do. I also know the developer is working on axes detents; when that feature will be implemented I'm pretty sure it would fit exactly your needs.

May I ask what kind of detents do you mean? Physical or some software related thing?
