Is there a smoothing to the sticks, and how to turn it off?

I feel my sticks not 100% responsive excectly to my movements, it feels like there's a smoothing effect on the axis. How can I turn it off?

Do you get this feeling in which game? Have you tried in an axes tester?

Run VKBDevCfg, navigate to Test/Axes panel, then move your joystick. If the sliders on the screen are trailing behind your motion then there's a problem with your joystick; if they're synchronized then you're fine.
Not sure about Virpil, but we're not smoothing the axes to create delay.
