1. How do I change the names of the virtual devices (created due to auto config when there are too many axes)?


2. I know how to move axes from one device to another. But how do I move buttons? Can't seem to figure out how.

Unless things have changed, you can't really pick which buttons to move to a virtual device unless you manually modify button number assignment. Whatever button numbers above the limit you've set in the Global/Common tab will be moved to the next virtual device.
Example: You've set the button limit to 64. The button number 65 will be show up in the first virtual device as its button 1.
