1. Can you use 3rd party USB-B to USB-A cables other different lengths from other manufacturers? if so is there a min spec it needs to meet?

2. Can you use 3rd Party USB-B to USB-C with same criteria as above.

You could use third parties' cables if they're good quality and made for data (not only charging).
