Sorry, I didn’t take any pics of the extra plastic on the bottom y axis leg. I will say it wasn’t super big, maybe 2 or 3mm but it was enough that with the plate installed it kept getting caught.

The thing that really stood out was just how loose the screws were. Right under the grip the screws were really loose. I examined the right stick in comparison and the screws in the right were all torqued down properly.

As for the magnet, that was pretty surprising. At any rate, I’m just happy I have a matching left stick to the right stick.

Well, on the 4th problem - if you removed the centering spring from the Y axis and use it as a throttle, then it makes sense to uncheck Cn and move the lever to 0 (toward yourself) before calibrating.

Can you describe what "uncheck Cn" is? if its an alternate way to calibrate an axis can you just walk me through it for future reference?

You need to uncheck the boxes, as in the picture, and before calibrating, install the axis on yourself.

So what is cn for logical axisAnd what is R for physical axis?

Is this the preferred way to calibrate a y axis used as a throttle slider ?

Please note that an alternative to removing the spring is to put the throttle in relative mode. You can also set it to switch between absolute and relative modes.

If this interests you, I'll find the thread where I asked about doing it and got instructions on a solution.

I use mine springs in, absolute mode for space games, relative mode for flight games.
