T-Rudders and CFS2

I made a previous post about this but the advice given didn't work and I have had no further help. It appears that the rudders use the X axis rotation and this works fine in fs9, but it seems that CFS2 requires the Z axis rotation.

I posted a JPG of the configurator showing the Profile-Axes tab and was advised to change the name in the HID Usage column opposite the 7th axis from RotX to Z and press the Set button to write the changes to the controller. Then from the Tools menu calibrate it. After that, the numbers 255,255,0 should not be physical axes.

I changed the name in the HID Usage column opposite the 7th axis from RotX to Z and pressed the Set button to write the changes to the controller. Then calibrated on the Tools menu. Nothing changed. Only the X rotation works in CFS2. Can anyone help? I find the configurator to be extremely complicated to use.

Show a screenshot of the settings from the game to understand which axis is responsible for the rudder. It is unlikely that this is the X, Y axis.

Here is a screenshot of CFS2 game settings. While it shows the Z Axis for the rudder, if you try to calibrate in the game, it is the X axis that responds when you move the rudder pedals. This is with my old CH Pro pedals because when the T-Rudder is connected it does not show up as a joystick as Gladiator NXT does.

First, you need to clearly understand that the Z axis is not the same as the Rot Z axis.
And in the game, it turns out that the Z axis is needed, not the X (and not the Rot X), as previously stated.

Secondly, until there is a line in the game with the correct name of your pedals, the axis cannot be assigned.

Thirdly, what does the GNX joystick have to do with it? After all, the conversation was only about the pedals.
Try to turn off all other devices (leave only the pedals) and go into the game and check if they are in the available devices.

The game may not recognize devices with more than 32 buttons.
Therefore, try to limit the number of buttons in the Global to this number.

With only the T-Rudders connected they do NOT show up in the available devices. They show up in fs9 (and work) but not in CFS2. Does this mean they are unusable in CFS2?

No, it doesn't. Everything is perfectly visible in the game and is customizable.

OK, sounds good, what do I do now? From your screenshot of CFS2 it looks like the black box has something to do with it. I notice that it is the Gladiator NXT that is showing in the Joystick type box, not the T-Rudders as in fs9.

I will make profiles for GNX, T-Rudder and zLink. For now, you can look at this topic for a better understanding of how this configuration works. Only instead of the left GNX we will have pedals.

So, two profiles - for pedals (orange BB) and GNX.
Before you can use them, you need to reset the settings on the pedals and the GNX to default.
After that, for GNX, you need to click on the Find & AutoConfig button in the Global-External.
Then load the corresponding profile for each device with the Load button, press Set to write to the controller.
Running zLink, you should see this picture.
zLink2.jpg

We press Start and going into the configurator, we calibrate the GNX joystick, not forgetting the pedals and the twist knob.
Which has now become the brake lever (when rotated clockwise from center) for pedal differential brakes. The picture is clickable.
GNX+DifBrake.gif

A zLink2.ini file should appear in the zLink folder, something like this. It might need to be tweaked a bit.
zLink2 T-Rudder+GNX.jpg

2.100 GNX R zLink master Def+DBrake.zip
(4.17 KiB) Downloaded 111 times
2.100 T-Rudder Hidden zLink Slave Def orang.zip
(4.19 KiB) Downloaded 117 times

In the game, when assigning the left and right brakes, you must first turn the handle completely (turn on the brake mode) and only then, after going into the settings, move the corresponding (L & R) pedals.

I did everything called for up to running zLink which I presumed was ZBootloader2.exe but that does not seem to be correct. I could not find any zLink file in the VKB Downloads section or any indication of zLink in the VKB Configurator.

I have one like this, it was in the distribution earlier, but, apparently, the manufacturer did not like something and was deleted. Therefore, use it as a beta, with all possible bugs.

p.s. there is a fresher one, should work.
