Mini stick orientation while using the OTA

Got a Gladiator Nxt Evo with an OTA to use as a left hand throttle.
Would like to use the mini stick as thruster control, you know, push left to thrust left, push right to thrust right.
Seeing that the stick is now kinda angled sideway, what used to be down is now more or less left. So I have mapped thrust left to mini stick down.
But the OTA doesn't orient the stick completely horizontal, so thrusting left requires me to push the mini stick not at directly 9 o'clock, but more like 8 o'clock.
Is there a way in vkbdevcfg to fix this so that true left (9 Oclock) registers properly, instead of activating both up/down as well as right/left axes?
I would be guessing somewhere along the lines of modifying the relationship between physical and logical axes. Anyone got any idea?

In the Profile-Povs tab, change the numbers on the X and Y axes, write to the controller with the Set button. I recommend that you save the profile itself, so that you can quickly load it after resetting to default (anything can be).

Thanks for replying.
However, I am using the mini sticks in axis mode, not POV mode. Any idea how to do that while in axis mode?

In the HID Usage column, change the names of the 5,6 ministick axes - RotX and RotY between them. If I understand you correctly

Awesome!! Now we are getting somewhere! With this I can now change the entire orientation by 90 degrees, ie, swap the x and y axis for the mini stick, by assigning Rot Y to axis 6 and Rot X to axis 5.
Now, is there a way I can make it a combination? Like Rot X being a combination of 5 AND 6? So that if the mini stick is physically at the half past 2 position on the clock (Means max for 5 and max for 6) , it is max for Rot x, Rot y in the middle?
Similarly,
Min 5 and Max 6 = Max for Rot Y, Rot X in the middle.
Min 5 and Min 6 = Min for Rot X, Rot Y in the middle.
Max 5 and Min 6 = Min for Rot Y, Rot X in the middle.
This will essentially rotate my mini sticks by 45 degrees. Exactly the angle that the Omni Throttle Adapter rotated my entire joystick.
This picture might better explain what I am trying to do...

I got it!!!
With some trial and error, this does exactly what I need!
Thanks for all the help!!

Hi legrunt, I've copied these settings and quadruple checked I didn't make a mistake. When I write to controller I simply lose the ministick all together. Tested in the config tool, in joy tester, the ministick stops giving any output when pressed in any direction.
Is there some other setting influencing this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I copied the setting and set it to controller. The orientation is still not very good and messy.
Do you have a new revision and do you play DCS by any chance?

Sorry, these are all I'm using. I'm fairly new at this, so I'm not very good to help you troubleshoot. I can only think of perhaps there are some other settings that are changing your ministick settings to hat mode?
Sorry, no new revision, as this is what I am using since my discovery. Not playing DSC, but Elite Dangerous.
