adjust T rudder

I was surprised to see that you have to dis assemble the T rudder to change the spring tension.I thought you could do it from the outside.
Does that side tension screw that pushes sideways on the cam have any effect on the pedal spring tension?? Or has anyone found a way to change the spring without dis assembly??? maybe a mod to the housing..??

I changed the spring mount to the High Force hole and now the rudder is totally loose and mushy...it doesn't seem to havre any spring pressure at all and it doesn't center at all on its own..
I followed the video to the letter..... what is going on??? the cam doesn't seem to be under any pressure.....its just loose.... I just got these today... help please.....

I got it...bearing needs to be right on the cam, not away from it..

It can be quite difficult to imagine what and how is located on the mechanism, any, not only pedal, after many words.
Best of all in such cases, photos help, from different angles. It is much more informative than words.
