Gladiator nxt stick as throttle

Is it possible to program a NXT stick to act like an airplane’s throttle?

Kind of, but you'll have to hold the joystick in place, otherwise it will return to center. The new EVO though works great as a throttle, as it comes with dry clutch which could hold the grip in place.
