Is there a way to have only the X-axis on the left ministick in Axes mode as buttons? Leaving the Y-axis as an axis.

There's definitely a way! There's also a chance of a more in-depth reply if you'd provide more info, like what kind of joystick you have there

Alright, first uncheck the Vs feature for the RotX axis to hide it, as below:


Then, in Profile/Axes/Axes2Buttons set the 5th axis (RotX) as Edges2 and Num1. Set up whatever Hysteresis want, then set up the first of the 2 buttons for the ends of that axis.
Press Set to save.
