Is powered necessary for a USB - C hub?

Postby arizonamoonshine » Thu Apr 29, 2021 9:28

Looking to buy a USB-C Hub. I have an MCGU and a Kosmosima.

It appears USB-C can transfer a lot of power so I’m wondering if a powered hub is even necessary? Any recommendations on a hub for this setup?

Also, what are the power requirements for two Gunfighter MkIII’s and the two different grips?

I run 2 unpowered USB hubs daisy chained with 10 devices on them. Good motherboard and power source helps I think.
