Hi everyone, please may I ask for some help?

I'm fairly new with the config so go steady with any how to's

This is what I want to achieve:

I have a POV joystick (8way) on the right stick with a centre push. I would like to be push this to then have the pov remap to different buttons:

So the POV can then be mapped to:

F4+Numpad 1
F4+Numpad 2
F4+Numpad 3
F4+Numpad 4
F4+Numpad 5 etc

and then centre push again to restore to its original config?

is this possible

It doesnt have to be that button that initiates the remap, it could be a normal hat centre push if that helps

That ministick is both axes and buttons, you know that right?

I know that if i press it, the POV doesnt work anymore and something else should happen, but as I said, fairly new to this and not sure how to then map the buttons, if thats what they become after pressing it normally. Bear in mind i still want what i have already assigned to the POV before i press the joystick centre

So that ministick has 2 functions: by default it's POV (buttons), then, after pressing the center button (red LED lights up) it becomes axes.
So you already have 2 functions assigned to it by default.

is that 4 w ay ior 8 way axis? And if either, how do i assign specific key strokes?

as currently, when I press it, i dont see any buttons lighting or when i poll it

There are 2 axes on the ministick, you could bind it in game to things like look around or zoom. When in POV mode, there are 8 ways (by default) or 4 ways.
I suggest to do all the bindings through game for now, until you'll get a bit more comfortable with the way the device operates and the native software works.

I have done all straight forward bindings possible in game now, but still have more I want to apply hence my question.

So if its possible to do what I need that would be great.

I dont mind it being another button on the joystick that allows me to have a second map for the 8way mini-joystick

So is there a way, after clicking the joystick in, to switch from axis to 8 way buttons? So I could have two 8 way sets of buttons essentially, and then somehow assign F4+numpad1 etc to each 8 direction?

No, there is no simple solution for this task yet. Precisely for a combination with an additional key. There is a setting for some of the NumPad keys in Povs.

Can I do something similar with the other HATS? So they do one thing or have one set of assignments, then on a press of a button I can have a separate map for those?

While we were talking, Alex_Oz made the firmware with the necessary functions for the Fn keys. Should be used with the extreme configurator.
First you need to enable the keyboard in the Global tab and then configure the keys in the Povs tab. In this case, the switch of the stick axis / HAT is preserved.
