Need help with mapping my mini-stick to joystick. (gladiator K)

Postby Volute » Fri Feb 19, 2021 7:23

Having some issues with getting the mini-stick on my gladiator K to work. Sometimes I get it working but it will suddenly just stop working. It tends to happen when I make a change to my joystick profile, but these changes either have nothing to do with mouse stick function or are changes to the mouse stick function that should not cause it to stop working. The only way I can fix the problem is to completely restart my computer, which for some reason fixes the problem. The problem being that the stick stops moving the mouse. Restarting the stick does nothing, I have to completely restart the computer

I don't understand, are you using the ministick as mouse? Better post a screenshot with the changes you've made.

I also mapped at the logical layer a button to toggle the mouse on and off. But even when its set to always on in global, it still randomly shuts off.

First of all you have to flash both Gladiator and pedals to the latest firmware; they're both outdated. Here's a flashing guide for the Gladiator; do the same for the pedals.

Ok I have updated all of that. I have the mouse on/off bound as a alternate to the pinky button. But nothing happens when I press it.

If you want the mouse button activated you'll have to set up a button as in first picture below. When that button is held pressed the ministick moves as mouse; when the button is released the ministick reverts to whatever function it was on - buttons or axes.
In order for it to work you have to assign the mouse to right axes, as in picture 2. It also has to be Active On/Off to be button activated. The other settings are optional: Delay and Speed set as you like, same as Rate and DeadZone. Check the Inv box on any of the axes if the mouse moves the other way compared to the ministick.

Yes I did all of this. Although my axis's are 3 and 4, not 5 and 6. It doesnt work. Most of the time nothing happens. Sometimes it will start to work but only after a restart of the PC and then it will randomly stop again.
