Hi, I need some help.
I'm trying to map 2 dials to the 2 mini-stick axes on the MCG Pro stick. Both dials have 8 positions, so 4 buttons on pure x or y and the other 4 buttons on the diagonal x+y. I managed to have the POV hats bind to those positions but in practice, when I use the mini-sticks to "turn" the dial, the response is spotty. It would sometimes require me to go pure x or y, before turning it into the diagonal position to press the button, or it would press another button when I release the hat, putting the dial in the wrong setting.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to have the 8 way hats to behave more strictly, to minimize mistakes or fiddling with the controls.

Re: Using MCG Pro mini-stick Axis as buttons
I apply a large deadzone as well. But indeed I still can't really hit/leave the diagonal without first hitting X or Y axis. I guess this is because the deadzone applied is a "square" deadzone (left exemple). Maybe if we could apply circular deadzone it would help? (Right exemple).

Can we do that now or is it impossible to change the programming for the settings?

I think Alex added/changed something in the fw v1_98_B. According to those post :
